Safeguarding is an absolute priority for all at Beechwood School.

We work across teams to ensure that we notice and act swiftly when we notice anything.  Close relationships with home allow us to build a picture for each of our students and put the right support and guidance in place.

No child should suffer harm, either at home or at school. Everyone who works at Beechwood School has a responsibility to make sure that all our young people are safe.

What do we mean by safeguarding?

Safeguarding is defined as:

  • protecting children from maltreatment
  • preventing impairment of children’s mental and physical health and development
  • ensuring that children grow up in circumstances consistent with the provision of safe and effective care and
  • taking action to enable all children to have the best outcomes
